Answer
First, convert weight to a single unit:
1000 g = 1 kg
500 g = 0.5 kg
∴ 2 kg 500 g = (2 + 0.5) kg = 2.5 kg.
For 2.5 kg, number of apples = 12.
For 1 kg, number of apples = . [Less weight, Less apples]
Multiply by 10 to remove decimals.
For 1 kg, number of apples = apples
For 15 kg, number of apples =
=
= 24 x 3 apples (Dividing 120 and 5 by 5)
= 72 apples.
Hence, 72 apples will weigh 15 kg.
