Answer

Given,

⇒ 2x – 7 < 4

⇒ 2x < 7 + 4

⇒ 2x < 11

⇒ x < 112\dfrac{11}{2}

⇒ x < 5.5

Since, x ∈ {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}

Hence, solution set = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5}.

Solution on the number line is :

2x – 7 < 4, x ∈ {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7}. Linear Inequations, RSA Mathematics Solutions ICSE Class 10.
