We know that,
Rate of dividend × N.V. = Profit (return) % × M.V.
Market value = ₹ 50 - ₹ = ₹ 50 - ₹ 5 = ₹ 45.
Let rate of dividend be x%
Hence, rate of dividend = 18%.
