Using the formula
[∵ (x2 - y2) = (x + y)(x - y)]
= ((5a - 2b) + (2a - b))((5a - 2b) - (2a - b))
= (5a - 2b + 2a - b)(5a - 2b - 2a + b)
= (5a + 2a - 2b - b)(5a - 2a - 2b + b)
= (7a - 3b)(3a - b)
Hence,(5a - 2b)2 - (2a - b)2 = (7a - 3b)(3a - b)
