8% of x=28408100×x=2840x=2840×1008x=355008\% \text{ of } x = 2840 \\[0.5em] \Rightarrow \dfrac{8}{100} \times x = 2840 \\[0.5em] \Rightarrow x = \dfrac{2840 \times 100}{8} \\[0.5em] \Rightarrow x = 35500

∴ Nominal value of the man's shares = ₹35500
