(b) Gram molecular mass of CO2 = 12 + 2(16)
= 12 + 32 = 44 g
As,
44 g of CO2 = 1 mole
∴ 22 g of CO2 = x 22 = 0.5 moles
Hence, number of moles in 22 grams of carbon dioxide = 0.5
