An e-mail is composed of the following three parts-
Username- It can be any name that one chooses, provided it is not already in use by somebody else in your domain.
Username is followed by a symbol @ which separates the username from the rest of the e-mail address.Host- This is the name of the server which receives and sends e-mail messages. For example- Google.
Site- The extreme right-hand side of an e-mail address specifies the type of site. For example- .com.
