For the same angle of incidence, the angles of refraction in three different media A, B and C are 15°, 25°, and 35° respectively. In which medium will the velocity of light be minimum?

Medium A will have the minimum velocity of light.
Reason — For the same angle of incidence, the medium in which the angle of refraction is smallest has the highest refractive index.
Here, the angles of refraction are:
- In A = 15°
- In B = 25°
- In C = 35°
Since, 15° is the smallest angle, medium A has the greatest refractive index.
We know that:
So, the greater the refractive index, the smaller is the velocity of light in that medium.
∴ Velocity of light is minimum in medium A.
