Answer

A = {4, 5, 6}

B = {x : x2 - 5x - 6 = 0}

⇒ B = {x : x2 - 6x + x - 6 = 0}

⇒ B = {x : x(x - 6) + 1(x - 6) = 0}

⇒ B = {x : (x - 6)(x + 1) = 0}

⇒ B = {x : (x - 6) = 0 or (x + 1) = 0}

⇒ B = {x : x = 6 or x = -1}

⇒ B = {6 , -1}

As 6 is a common element in A and B,

Hence, A and B are not disjoints set.
