What were the beliefs of the Early Nationalists?

The Early Nationalists believed in demanding reforms and adopting constitutional and peaceful means to achieve their aims. They were opposed to the use of force and violent methods and were ready to wait for a long time to get their demands fulfilled. They had full faith in the British sense of justice, fair play, honesty and integrity. They believed that British rule was a boon for India.
