Canadian researchers have discovered high level of chemical found in the body of Killer whales which can harm them badly. This chemical is being used in making the toilet paper, pulp industries. The killer whales sit atop the food chain, they often ingest smaller organisms tented with the chemical.

This is called biomagnification.
Toxic chemicals accumulate in small organisms at the bottom of the food chain. As they get eaten by organisms which are above them in the food chain, these toxins become more concentrated. Killer whales, bein at the top of the food chain, accumulate the highest concentration of these toxins, which severely affects them. Hence, it affects the whole food chain of an ecosystem.
