(2x - 1)(x - 3) = (x + 5)(x - 1)

Given,

Equation : (2x - 1)(x - 3) = (x + 5)(x - 1)

⇒ 2x² - 6x - x + 3 = x² - x + 5x - 5

⇒ 2x² - 7x + 3 = x² + 4x - 5

⇒ 2x² - x² - 7x - 4x + 3 + 5 = 0

⇒ x² - 11x + 8 = 0.

The above equation is of the form ax² + bx + c = 0.

Hence, the above equation is a quadratic equation.
