The diameter of a wheel is 1.26 m. How far will it travel in 500 revolutions?

Given,
Diameter of wheel (d) = 1.26 m
Number of revolutions (n) = 500
Distance traveled in one revolution = Circumference of wheel
C = 2πr
= πd
= × 1.26
= 3.96 m.
∴ For 500 revolutions distance is :
500 × 3.96 = 1980 m
Hence, distance covered = 1980 m.
