Answer
Degree of Freedom (DoF) in robots is referred to as the number of free movements a robot can perform. A robot’s DoF is determined by its mechanical design and number of joints. Each joint offers a single degree of freedom.
The significance of Degrees of Freedom is that a higher number of links and joints provides the robot more flexibility and enables it to perform complex movements and tasks more efficiently.
