⇒ 5x2 + 6x - 8
⇒ 5x2 + 10x - 4x - 8
⇒ 5x(x + 2) - 4(x + 2)
⇒ (5x - 4)(x + 2)
⇒ [5(3a + b) - 4][3a + b + 2]
⇒ (15a + 5b - 4)(3a + b + 2).
Hence, 5(3a + b)2 + 6(3a + b) - 8 = (3a + b + 2)(15a + 5b - 4).
