= (a - 3b)2 - (6 b)2
Using the formula
[∵ (x2 - y2) = (x + y)(x - y)]
= ((a - 3b) - 6b)((a - 3b) + 6b)
= (a - 3b - 6b)(a - 3b + 6b)
= (a - 9b)(a + 3b)
Hence, (a - 3b)2 - 36 b2 = (a - 9b)(a + 3b)
