Answer

Given,

⇒ x3 - 3x2 + 3x + 7

⇒ x3 - 3x2 + 3x + 8 - 1

⇒ x3 + 8 - 3x2 + 3x - 1

⇒ x3 - 13 - 3 × 1 x (x + 1) + 8

⇒ (x - 1)3 + 23

By using the identity,

(a3 + b3) = (a + b)(a2 - ab + b2)

⇒ [(x - 1) + 2] [(x - 1)2 - (x - 1) × 2 + 22]

⇒ (x + 1)[(x2 - 2x + 1) - (2x - 2) + 4]

⇒ (x + 1)[(x2 - 2x + 1) - 2x + 2 + 4]

⇒ (x + 1)(x2 - 4x + 7)

Hence, x3 - 3x2 + 3x + 7 = (x + 1)(x2 - 4x + 7).
