Find the circumference and area of a circle of radius 17.5 cm.

Circumference of circle = 2πr = 2 × π × 17.5
= 2 × × 17.5
= 2 × 22 × 2.5
= 22 × 5 = 110 cm.
Area of circle = πr2
= × (17.5)2
= × 17.5 × 17.5
= 22 × 2.5 × 17.5
= 962.5 cm2.
Hence, circumference = 110 cm and area = 962.5 cm2.
