When x-intercept = 5; corresponding point on the x-axis = (5, 0).
By formula,
Slope =
Slope of the line through (5, 0) and (4, -3) =
By point-slope form,
⇒ y - y1 = m(x - x1)
⇒ y - 0 = 3(x − 5)
⇒ y = 3x - 15
⇒ 3x - y = 15.
Hence, equation of line is 3x - y = 15.
