Find the perimeter and area of a semi-circular plate of radius 25 cm.

Given,
Radius = 25 cm
Area of full circle = πr2
= 3.14 × (25)2
= 3.14 × 625
= 1962.5 cm2.
Area of semicircle = × 1962.5
= 981.25 cm2.
Arc length of semi-circle = × 2πr = πr
Perimeter = Circumference of semi-circle + diameter
= πr + 2r
= 3.14 × 25 + 2 × 25
= 78.5 + 50 = 128.5 cm.
Hence, area = 981.25 cm2 and perimeter = 128.5 cm respectively.
