4x2 + 4x + 1
Using the formula
[∵ (x + y)2 = x2+ 2xy + y2 ]
= (2x)2 + 2 2x 1 + (1)2
= (2x + 1)2
Hence, 4x2 + 4x + 1 is a perfect square.
