We must conserve our forests because of the following reasons:
- Moderators of Climate — Forests play an effective role in controlling humidity, temperature and precipitation.
- Carbon Cycle — Forests absorb atmospheric Carbon dioxide and help in maintaining the purity of air and controlling atmospheric pollution.
- Water table — Forests help in water percolation and thereby maintain underground water table.
