The teachings of Kabir and Guru Nanak promoted the feelings of peace and harmony among different communities. Their teachings advocated the unity of God and unity of mankind. They preached that the God can be worshipped under different names but there is only one God. They emphasised that good actions, meditation and devotion are only means of salvation.
