Solve the quadratic equation 8x2 - 14x + 3 = 0
(i) When x ∈ I (integers)
(ii) When x ∈ Q (rational numbers)
Solve, using formula :
x2 + x - (a + 2)(a + 1) = 0
Show that one root of the quadratic equation x2 + (3 - 2a)x - 6a = 0 is -3. Hence, find its other root.
