Answer

Given,

an = 3n + 2

a1 = 3(1) + 2 = 3 + 2 = 5,

a2 = 3(2) + 2 = 6 + 2 = 8,

a3 = 3(3) + 2 = 9 + 2 = 11.

By formula,

Sum of A.P. = n2(a+l)\dfrac{n}{2}(a + l)

Sum of first three terms = 32(5+11)=32×16\dfrac{3}{2}(5 + 11) = \dfrac{3}{2} \times 16

= 3 × 8 = 24.

Hence, Option 4 is the correct option.
