If we keep on increasing CO2 concentration in the air, will the rate of photosynthesis also keep on increasing in direct proportion? Yes/No. Explain.

Answer
Increasing carbon dioxide concentration increases rate of photosynthesis but it is stabilised at a particular point (upto 0.02% of CO2 ) if there is no change in light intensity. If the light intensity is increased then increase in carbon dioxide concentration further increases the rate of photosynthesis and is again stabilised at 0.05% of CO2.
