The General Assembly is the chief deliberative organ of the U.N.O. It is considered as the parliament of the U.N.O. It allows all 193 member states to discuss a wide range of issues, from peace and security to human rights and development. It plays a key role in making decisions on international matters through resolutions, approving the UN's budget, and electing members to important positions, such as those in the Security Council and the International Court of Justice.
