Maintaining public hygiene prevents the spread of communicable diseases like Malaria, Dengue, Cholera, Diarrhoea, etc. Maintaining a clean environment controls the breeding of mosquitoes, houseflies and other pathogens. Hence, public hygiene is equally important as personal hygiene for good health and preventing diseases.
