(c) The principal judicial organ of the United Nations Organisation is the International Court of Justice.

Composition of the International Court of Justice — The International Court of Justice consists of 15 judges elected by the General Assembly and the Security Council voting separately. Only one judge from a country is elected. The judges work for a term of nine years and may be re-elected. The Chief Justice is elected from among them for three years.
