- Desire for a male child.
- Illiteracy and Lack of awareness about birth control measures.
(b) Two reasons to adopt population control measures are:
- Increased population will put pressure on natural resources like land, minerals, wood, fuel, etc.
- If population control measures are not adopted, per capita income will continue to come down.
