3x+2x6=7\dfrac{3x + 2}{x - 6} = -7

On cross multiplying, we get :

⇒ (3x + 2) = - 7 ×\times (x - 6)

⇒ 3x + 2 = - 7x + 7 ×\times 6

⇒ 3x + 2 = - 7x + 42

⇒ 3x + 7x = 42 - 2

⇒ 10x = 40

⇒ x = 4010\dfrac{40}{10}

⇒ x = 4

Hence, the value of x is 4.
