A white ppt. is obtained which is insoluble in dil. HCl or dil. HNO3
Na2SO4 + BaCl2 ⟶ BaSO4 ↓ [white ppt.] + 2NaCl
BaSO4 is insoluble in dil. hydrochloric acid.
