A plebiscite will be held for all states.
Explanation — Under the Mountbatten Plan, a referendum was proposed only in NWFP and the Sylhet district of Assam. It was not to be held for all princely states. With the lapse of British paramountcy, the princely states were left free to decide their future and could accede to either Dominion.
