A sum of money is divided between A and B in the ratio 6 : 11. If B’s share is ₹ 7,315, find (i) A’s share (ii) the total amount of money.

(i) Let A's share be ₹ x.
Then,
Hence, A' share of money = ₹ 3,990.
(ii) Total sum of money = A's share + B's share
= ₹ 3,990 + ₹ 7,315
= ₹ 11,305.
Hence, total sum of money = ₹ 11,305.
