Answer

The atoms of the same element, having same atomic number Z, but different mass number A, are called isotopes.

Example — Hydrogen has three isotopes namely protium 11H{1}^{1}\text{H}, deuterium 12H{1}^{2}\text{H} and tritium 13H_{1}^{3}\text{H}.
