Answer

Let the four consecutive integers be (x - 1), x, (x + 1) and (x + 2).

⇒ (x - 1) + x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = -46

⇒ x - 1 + x + x + 1 + x + 2 = -46

⇒ 4x + 2 = -46

⇒ 4x = -46 - 2

⇒ 4x = -48

⇒ x = - 484\dfrac{48}{4}

⇒ x = - 12

Other numbers are (x - 1), (x + 1), (x + 2)

= (-12 - 1), (-12 + 1), (-12 + 2)

= - 13, - 11, - 10

Hence, option 2 is the correct option.
