(ii) the number of neutrons in the nucleus of an atom having atomic number 17 and mass number 37.

(i) Mass number (A) = Neutrons (n) + Protons (p) = 20 + 15 = 35

(ii) Number of neutrons = n = A -Z = 37 – 17 = 20
