Answer
The Great Wall of China was originally built as separate walls and later unified in the 3rd century BCE by Emperor Shihuangdi. Built for defence against northern invaders, it stretches over 20,000 km with watchtowers for storing weapons, housing troops, and sending signals. It is the world’s longest humanmade structure and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
