Answer

Steps of construction :

  1. Draw a line segment AB = 6.3 cm.

  2. Draw BP, such that ∠ABP = 90°.

  3. With B as center and radius equal to 4.2 cm draw an arc cutting BP at C. Join BC.

  4. With C as center, draw a line CD, such that ∠BCD = 90°.

  5. Join AD.

AB = 6.3 cm, BC = CD = 4.2 cm and ∠ABC = ∠BCD = 90°. Construction of Polygons, Concise Mathematics Solutions ICSE Class 9.
