⇒ Base2 + Height2 = Hypotenuse2
⇒ (8)2 + h2 = (10)2
⇒ 64 + h2 = 100
⇒ h2 = 100 - 64
⇒ h2 = 36
⇒ h =
⇒ h = 6 cm.
By formula,
Area of the triangle = x base x height
= x 8 x 6 cm2
= 24 cm2.
