Construct a quadrilateral ABCD; if :

AB = 6 cm, CD = 4.5 cm, BC = AD = 5 cm and ∠BCD = 60°.

Steps:

  1. Draw BC = 5 cm.

  2. With C as centre, draw an arc of any suitable radius which cuts BC at point R.

  3. With R as centre and the same radius as taken in step 2, draw one more arc which cuts the previous arc.

  4. Join I with C and produce upto any point P.
    ∠PCB = 60°.

  5. From PC cut CD = 4.5 cm.

  6. With D as center and radius equal to 5 cm, draw an arc.

  7. With B as center and radius equal to 6 cm, draw an arc which intersects the arc drawn in step 4 at D.

  8. Join BA and AD.
