Steps:

  1. Draw AB = 5 cm.

  2. Taking A as center, draw an arc of radius 5 cm (= AD) and taking B as center, draw one more arc of radius 7 cm (= diagonal BD). Let the two arcs intersect at point D.

  3. Taking D as center, draw an arc of radius 5.5 cm (= CD) and taking B as center, draw one more arc of radius 5.5 cm(= BC). Let the two arcs intersect at point C.

  4. Join DC and BC.
