Steps:

  1. Draw CD = 5 cm.

  2. Taking D as centre, draw an arc of radius 8.5 cm (= BD) and taking C as centre, draw one more arc of radius 5cm (= CB). Let the two arcs intersect at point B.

  3. Taking D as centre, draw an arc of radius 5 cm (= AD) and taking B as centre, draw one more arc of radius 5cm (= AB). Let the two arcs intersect at point A.

  4. Join DA, AB and CB.

Hence, ABCD is the required rhombus.
