Discuss the nature of the roots of the following equation without actually solving it:
5x² - 13x - 6 = 0

Comparing 5x² - 13x - 6 = 0 with ax² + bx + c = 0 we get,

a = 5, b = -13 and c = -6.

We know that,

Discriminant (D) = b² - 4ac = (-13)² - 4 × 5 × -6

= 169 - (-120) = 169 + 120 = 289 ; which is positive and is a perfect square.

Hence, the roots are rational and unequal.
