Mean = Sum of all observations Number of all observations \dfrac{\text{Sum of all observations }}{\text{Number of all observations }}

= (x+3)+(x+5)+(x+7)+(x+9)+(x+11)5\dfrac{(x + 3) + (x + 5) + (x + 7) + (x + 9) + (x + 11)}{5}

= 5x+355\dfrac{5x + 35}{5}

= x + 7

Hence, the mean is x + 7.
