I foresee the following disadvantages once this hydro-project is completed:
- Causes displacement of people and loss of livelihoods.
- Leads to the submergence of forests and fertile agricultural land.
- Disturbs river ecosystems and affects aquatic life. Reservoirs may lose storage capacity due to sedimentation.
- Large reservoirs may induce reservoir-triggered seismic activity (earthquakes) in some areas.
