Answer

(- 4xy3) ×\times (6x2y)

= - 24x(1+2)y(3+1)

= - 24x3y4

Hence, (- 4xy3) ×\times (6x2y) = - 24x3y4

Putting x = 2 and y = 1

Taking LHS:

(- 4xy3) x (6x2y)

= (- 4 x 2 x 13) x (6 x 22 x 1)

= (- 4 x 2 x 1) x (6 x 4 x 1)

= (- 8) x (24)

= - 192

Taking RHS:

- 24x3y4

= - 24 x 23 x 14

= - 24 x 8 x 1

= - 192

Hence, LHS = RHS

So, (- 4xy3) ×\times (6x2y) = - 24x3y4
