⇒ 3x² + 8 = 10x

⇒ 3x² - 10x + 8 = 0

⇒ 3x² - 6x - 4x + 8 = 0

⇒ 3x(x - 2) - 4(x - 2) = 0

⇒ (x - 2)(3x - 4) = 0

⇒ (x - 2) = 0 or (3x - 4) = 0 [Using Zero-product rule]

⇒ x = 2 or 3x = 4

⇒ x = 2 or x = $\dfrac{4}{3}$ .

Hence, x = $\Big{2, \dfrac{4}{3}\Big}$ .
