Solve the following equation :
3^{x - 1} × 5^{2y - 3} = 225

Given,

⇒ 3^{x - 1} × 5^{2y - 3} = 225

⇒ 3^{x - 1} × 5^{2y - 3} = 3².5²

∴ x - 1 = 2 and 2y - 3 = 2

⇒ x = 2 + 1 and 2y = 2 + 3

⇒ x = 3 and y = $\dfrac{5}{2}$ .

Hence, x = 3 and y = $\dfrac{5}{2}$ .
