Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems that specialise in a narrow domain and are created in order to carry out a specific set of tasks are referred to as Narrow or Weak AI. These systems are extremely proficient at a specific function, but they lack the ability to generalise or do things that aren't within their area of expertise. For example, Alexa is one of the most commonly used smart voice assistants which responds only to the keywords it is programmed to understand. Some other examples of Weak AI include Chatbots, Email spam filters, Smart Voice Assistants like Siri, Self-driving Cars and Google Maps.
